Another wonderful creation of Antoni Gaudi is the La Sagrada Familia Church. Started back in May 1882 by the architect Francisco de Paula del Villar, but recommissioned to Gaudi at the end of 1883, this church has been under construction for over 100 years. Located at the heart of Barcelona, La Sagrada Familia has become one of the most universal signs of identity of the city and the country. It is visited by millions of people every year and many more study its architectural and religious content. Years ago, people had to pay to enter the church--this is what funded the project....
