8 peaks, a?z snow
8 peaks, a?z snow That is Sunday River’s motto.
Sunday River celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2009, and they are doing so much this season to make sure that everyone is celebrating this joyous accomplishment. Because I have been taking a few trips up to the mountains, I have noticed that this year they always are offering some sort of a deal or a fun activity up there. Maybe I just am noticing this more this year than in past years, but I have seen nothing but deal after deal come through. Of course, not all of the deals are lift related. For instance, some deals involve their restaurant The Foggy Goggle or musical entertainment.
I remember that earlier this year it was college week, and they were promoting amazing deals, such as $39 lift tickets for college students. Last week they had a Fifty Fest, which had deals, such as $50 lift tickets, $50 Dinner for two at Legends Restaurant, 50% Off ski demos at Sunday River Sports, and more.A Those deals may start to disappear as we roll into the regular season (Feb 13-March 28), but you still have got some time.
One of the best deals that I took advantage of last weekend is the Ski and Stay package. For just $8, per person per night, my friends and I were able to share a slopeside for the weekend. Now $89 may sound like a lot for one night, but does it still sound a lot when I mention that this price is for a lift ticket and lodging? Considering that a typical day ticket at Sunday River costs around $75, I would say that this is an amazing deal. Wouldn’t you?
The conditions at Sunday River are amazing. They were good when I went Martin Luther King weekend, and they were even better this weekend because of all the snow they got last week. With over ten inches of new snow to play in with a lot of my good friends, I had an absolute blast.
Check out Sunday River’s website to see what kind of deal they are offering at the time that you want to head up to the mountains!
