picCouch Surfing, ever heard of it? I had not until just recently. Couch Surfing is a free, Internet-based, international housing service. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on a hotel room for a night, or multiple nights, in a foreign place, couch surfing is a type of "living" that will give you a place to stay for free. Not only are you able to have a place to stay for free for a night, or even longer, but you will meet many new and interesting people. Couch surfing is what it sounds like it would be. Well, no, you are not...

treeFor centuries, explorers have sought the fountain of youth. Their searches haven′t been too fruitful. Some even may say there isn′t any such fountain. However, the animals that I like to see most are either not in my region or ones that are friendly. My craving is not satisfied by simply watching Man vs Wild. Therefore I am forced into the next best alternative, the zoo and aquarium.

Recently, my wife and I were in...

Pack Lighter… It Saves Fuel

I am a fairly simple packer when it comes to preparing for my trips. I take just what is needed and not much extra, making it easy for me to be ready for my cheap flights. Recently, I came across a nifty statistic that drove home the environmental importance of packing light: If just one passenger on each flight this year packed 1 pound less of luggage, we would save enough fuel to fly a 737 all away the round the world 474 times! So, the next time you are debating that third pair of shoes or the extra...
