As a college student who is also part ski bum, I never look for a fancy place to stay overnight when I am on a weekend trip to the mountains. This time I opted to stay at the Paws Inn in Bethel, ME. Located less than 10 minutes away from the Sunday River ski area, this inn is a great place to stay! I may not ever go back to staying on the mountain anymore (even if it is a little more expensive to stay at the inn)! The Paws Inn is a very dog friendly place-- if you couldn't tell...

Last week I promised to write about Sunday River's hidden trails. Well, I have my own names of some of these trails, but I decided to look on the Internet to see if other people had discovered these hidden gems. What I did discover is that people have named these trails and that the Sunday River community does seem to have come to a understanding of what hidden trail goes with each name. If you are a skier or snowboarder like me but did not get a chance to get yourself out on the slopes this weekend, you missed out. I am sorry, but I just have to be brutally honest about it. I had the amazing opportunity to make my way up to Sunday River in Newry, Maine, this past weekend. There were people exclaiming, "This is the best day of skiing I have had in years!" or "WOOHOO!" or "SO MUCH POWDER!" all over the place. With the recent storm, Sunday River got around 2 feet of fresh snow-- with all...

New York City Shopping Part 1

It is no wonder that the characters of Sex and the City characters lived in New York City because New Yorkers love to shop! From high-end designer labels to club kid fashions to vintage music emporiums, New York City offers something for everyone. Of course, there is no way to see everything nor is there time to hit every district or mall in the entire metropolitan area within a few days, but with a little savvy planning you can make the most of your NYC shopping trip. Whether you're looking for a specific item or just want to browse...
