Mont Tremblant

The streets of the ski village of Mont Tremblant are perfect for those tourists looking for a winter wonderland. Well, it is a little pricey, but cute nevertheless. My family is staying at the Hilton Homewood Suites, and our view is the south side of Mont-Tremblant. A ski-in ski-out resort, we can literally walk down the stairs, out the door, and end up at the base of the south side of the slopes.

The slopes are not too great at the present moment due to the lack of snow, but from what we have experienced, Mont Tremblant is a great family mountain. There are a lot of beginners on the slopes, but once you learn which trails are infested with those beginners, they are pretty easy to avoid. To read more about the slopes, visit a recent post on Outdoors Eagle.

Mont Tremblant is the prime definition of a ski village. Quoted as being the #1 ski resort in Eastern North America, it features hotels that have an older, castle-like appearance, shopping, holiday lighting, wood fires, cafAİs, restaurants, bars, and more.

Because we spent the day on the slopes, we saw the cobblestone streets only by night. There were many people, mostly tourists of course, walking around, enjoying the night. We ended up eating dinner at a crA?perie called CrA?perie Catherine. My dad had originally wanted to eat at a fancy French place, but we had crA?pes in mind throughout the day. We all ordered crA?pes to share around the table. One of the better plates was a goat cheese crA?pe. Filled with goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes, onions, bAİchamel, and more, this crA?pe had a pretty interesting taste that was still very delicious. Some of the other crA?pes that we ordered were the Florentine crA?pe (spinach, egg, feta, swiss cheese, tomatoes, onions, bechamel) and the Rockefeller crA?pe that contained oysters. But perhaps the best order of the night was the Banana Split (caramel, chocolate, ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate cookies, cherries).

Though you will have to expect to spend some money when you visit Mont Tremblant, it truly is a great family ski village.
