"Papa" Ernest Hemingway was a Nobel Prize winner and one of the most respected writers of the Twentieth Century. As influential as Hemingway was to the literary world, his home in Key West was similarly imprinted on the novels he wrote during his residency on the island. The house that he lived and wrote in for ten years on Whitehead Street is now a museum still houses around sixty cats that are descendants of Ernest's first famous six-toed cat.
