1 Day in D.C. with Kids

CapitolDomeRecently, I had the opportunity to spend an entire day in Washington, DC with my partner and two of our children. While it was overcast and quite chilly, it was perfect December weather. The explorer Jacques Cartier in 1534 proclaimed that this area he traveled to now known as Montreal would be the province of the King of France. In the following year he returned and when he was up the Lawrence River he met a thousand Iroquois Indians and he came upon a small mountain which he named Mont RAŠal which means Mount Royal.
