Coca-Cola Knows How to Treat Company
Have you ever taste-tested the Coca-Cola products that are produced and sold throughout the world in less than thirty minutes? Did you ever wonder what type of soft drinks people drink in Africa? Wonder no more. A tour of the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia, will answer all those questions, plus more. In this posting I will even recommend a great place to eat after your visit there.
Atlanta is the birthplace of the world’s biggest name in soft drinks. This city is very proud of its favorite soda and display that pride in the World of Coca-Cola located by the Centennial Olympic Park. Once you pay for admission and a large group forms, everyone is led into a room with advertisement signs from all over the world. There you are given an overview of what your tour will yield.
Next, everyone goes into a theatre and is treated to a very funny video. Afterwards, you are given free reign of the place. There are many different exhibits to see and enjoy. There is the room in which you can view Coke being made and follow the path throughout the bottling procedure. You can go into the art museum of all the Coke inspired work…very cool.
One of my favorite exhibits was the 4-D theatre. Here you get glasses and journey along with a scientist across the world. Your seats actually move, and you feel like you are there. I will not spoil the movie, but I will warn you to watch out for the dragonflies. After the movie my final stop was the taste-test room. In here, we got to taste the different sodas from around the world. Some were pretty good, and some were not. Second to the North America drinks was South America, so be sure to try them.
This day left me hungry. We went to Ted’s Montana Grill just down the street. Ted’s boasts being green and even use recycled paper straws. My wife got the bison burger and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. Naturally, we washed all that down with a Coke.

I grew up a few miles outside of Atlanta and worked in Atlanta for many years. I have really enjoyed your reviews of your times there. I have visited the World of Coca-Cola a couple of times in the old location, but they have moved it to near Centennial Park since I lived there. I look forward to visiting it again when I am back home sometime. It is a fun place and you never get thirsty there.
