See Atlanta, Georgia, from the Nosebleed Section

Atlanta, Georgia, has much to offer to any tourist. It is the home of the largest aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, home to professional sports teams and the birthplace of Coca Cola. Simply put, there is plenty for everyone to see in Atlanta. However, there are two things you need if you plan to make a trip to Atlanta: a bed to sleep on and food. I am feeling very philanthropic these days, so I will tell you about my favorite hotel and place to eat while there.

First off, you are going to need a place to rest your weary head. That is where the Westin Peachtree comes to the rescue. This building is the fifth tallest in all of Atlanta and offers outstanding service and fair rates. Their Sundial restaurant is on the top floor of this building and offers views of the entire city.

In fact, if you stay right at your table you can see the whole city in under an hour. Huh? The tables are actually on a rotating floor. As you are eating, the floor moves! The speed is so slow that you will not even notice the motion. The only downfall to this restaurant is the cost. The prices are a bit steep for the frugal diner, but the experience is unlike any other. To ease the travel budget a bit, just go up there for a drink and walk around on the observation deck. You won’t get to spin in circles, that is unless you have one too many.

After your journey to the top of Atlanta, it is time to eat! Two Urban Licks is the place to go to satisfy that hunger. This restaurant is only a short taxi ride away from your hotel. It is located inside of an old warehouse. Arriving at the restaurant was a unique experience. I drove up a ramp onto a loading dock where the valet took my car and showed my wife and I the front entrance. The interior design was very contemporary. The food itself was amazing! High quality food for decent prices.
