Innsbruck, Austria

by Bea February 28th, 2012 | Europe
I was recently reminded of my time back in Innsbruck, Austria. You may or may not know know already, but the 43-year-old Dutch Prince Johan Friso has been in an intensive care unit at an Innsbruck hospital after being buried alive in a avalanche in Lech, Austria. The Prince was only buried 16 inches under, but he was still trapped for about 15 minutes. That 15-minute mark is the time that your chance of survival starts to tumble. He had suffered from  severe damage to his skull and because he was suffocating, he went into cardiac arrest for 45 minutes.

by Bea January 4th, 2012 | Europe, Travel Planning
When people think about visiting the Netherlands, they typically have one city in mind and that city is Amsterdam. Whenever I talk to someone about how I spent eight months in Holland and they happen to have been to the country as well, they always have something to say about Amsterdam and how beautiful it was. I'm here to tell you that there is more to see than Amsterdam. True, if you have never been to Holland, you should definitely check out the city, but to me, it's become a large tourist trap.

If you love museums, then yes, maybe
