The Museum of London

The Museum of London is located at 150 London Wall in London. You can get there by public transportation either through the rail, tube (subway) or bus. The Museum itself is free to attend and is open every day, except over Christmas, from 10 am to 6 pm. So, if you happen to be in town for the Olympics, this is an attraction you should visit. The gallery tours are free to attend. Check with the museum for tour times.

The Smithsonian Castle

The Smithsonian Institution is actually a collection of nineteen different museums with natural gardens and a zoo. It is one of the tourist attractions that draw visitors to Washington, D.C. The great thing about this Institution is that visitors can get into most of its displays for free. The only day that it is closed is on December 25th. The hours of operation for the Smithsonian Castle are from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art

The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art was founded in 1842 by Daniel Wadsworth and is the oldest public art museum in the US. Spanning a 5,000 year history featured in art works, the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art houses around 50,000 artworks displayed in five buildings: the Gothic Revival Wadsworth, the Tudor Revival Colt Memorial, the Renaissance Revival Morgan Memorial, the Avery Memorial and the Goodwin Building.
