New Zealand is a beautiful country, and it is filled with beautiful homes, and all homes need to be repaired, maintained and renovated.
This September brings people in New Zealand the Auckland Home Show, a mega-home repair and renovation event, offering seminars, advice, products and new technology for home owners and contractors. The event will be held at the ASB showgrounds in Auckland from September 5th through the 9th this year.
While there, visitors will be able to meet with over 600 vendors and merchants showing off the latest and most exciting home improvement, repair, building, and renovation products available today. Advice for finishing spring renovations and preparing for summer, as well as supplies, will be available, so make sure to talk to the vendors while you are there. Also attend the seminars, where experts in home design and renovation will be teaching people the secrets for great home repair and renovations. Many of these valuable lessons are free of charge.
One of the highlights of this year’s show will be the Smeg Cooking Theater. This event will demonstrate the advantages of new products for the home kitchen, as well as teach event-goers new recipes and cooking techniques. The best-known chefs attending will be offering a free demonstration during this kitchen-centric segment of the event.
The Space Module, a large mystery box full of technology secrets, will be unveiled. This event is being billed as a revolutionary new initiative in home design. The Auckland Home Show has traditionally been where new products for good living are premiered, and this year, the new innovation highlighted will be this revolutionary enclosed stand.
Another tradition at the Home Show in “New Zealand’s Second Capital” is the Designer Living Pavilion, a center for advice and materials to spruce up your home, adding spice and class for any taste or style.
The Walk of Gardens showcases lawn and landscaping products and ideas which will brighten any front lawn. Leading landscape designers will be giving advice to attendees as well as creating the example lawns and gardens.
People wanting to do renovations will want to get a free consultation from the professionals at “Ask the Design Experts,” who will look over your photos and plans for renovation and offer their knowledge to you free of charge.
The event also offers much more, including a full-scale landscaping model called the Street of Houses, as well as mockups of portable housing, and Green Urban Living seminars, geared for eco-friendly suburbanites.
Over 70,000 people attended the Auckland Home Show last year, and a similar number are expected this September. The ASB Showgrounds is spread over 15,000 square meters, so there will be plenty do do and see, even for those attending the event for a number of days. Tickets to the home showcase will be available at the gate. Adult admission is $16 for one day, or $25 for more two or more days. Children are welcome, and are admitted free of charge.
