Mexico’s economy is suffering right now. Why? The swine flu scare. Because hotels saw more than a 50% drop in occupancy this past month, hotels have been offering ridiculous amounts of deals. Okay, so now you may be convinced that hotels are cheaper than ever in Mexico, but what about the flights? Well, cheap flights are also extremely easy to find. Rates for nonstop round-trip flights from New York were as low as $270 to CancA?n and $280 toA Mexico City. There is a company called Apple Vacations that will start offering $199 round-trip flights.

Even though the swine flu scare still exists, now is a good time, economically, to visit Mexico, if you can. Another thing to note is that because travel to Mexico is extremely cheap, nearby countries such as Jamaica are vying for tourists and are lowering their prices as well.
